Meteorological Report

On this day we left the suburbs of Orange County in Southern California to head to Chicago. En route, as we were nearing a stopover in Phoenix, we encountered beautiful thunderheads and blue skies beyond, but how often will we have a chance to see monsoon rains across the desert from this height? Obviously not uncommon across this range, note the areas of runoff down their length.

I'm so far behind, I'm starting from our September away and working to the present. Thanks always for the time you take to leave me kudos and comments. I've tried to comment when I can, but don't know if I've been to everyone who's been so kind to me... I'll keep trying!
the world is so beautiful from up above. even with thunderheads, fogs, clouds! it's amazing and aren't we lucky to have to capture them (when we do have our cameras in hand!)!! look at that furious hand of mother nature!

@Weezilou I want the window seat too, and John like the aisle. So...... we sit where I get the window seat unless it's on one of those 12 to 15 hour flights we've taken more than once...... They we seem to get put on the middle with aisles on both sides of about a five seat row. Hate it.
