It's Not so Difficult to Say Good-Bye to Summer ...
Though I love summer, the gradual changes in the season make it easy to be lured along. Here in Nova Scotia, every apple tree I see this year is laden with fruit. The colours of the season change to red and rust against brilliant blue skies. And if you're lucky enough to have a husband or partner like Ken, you can anticipate some luscious and delicious baked apples filled with brown sugar & butter.
Good-bye chilly fruit smoothies of Summer ... Hello to warm & steamy fruits of Fall...
(I'm filling in September days of visits with friends, 365, travel, and sight seeing. I certainly had a lot of photo opportunities, and welcome you to look at the calendar page if you wish to join me "back when".)
Oh, autumn sounds so enticing when you put it in those terms! Enjoy your cooler days filled with wonderful colors and aromas. We are just hoping that it finally gets a wee bit cooler down here... :-(((
Are you getting color, ours is so late only yesterday did I begin to see more than an occasional tree. Now it is raining. But the apples are so full. I made applesauce this weekend.
