This evening the students were back with us for dinner along with Master Coach, Suzie leBlanc from Montreal. We'd just celebrated Suzie's birthday and were settled in the living room for the rest of the evening. I'd set out a camera with a note asking them to take some photos with it and surprise me. Seeing that no one had picked it up earlier, I told them what I'd done, and one of the girls jumped up, saying she's *love* to take some pictures! As she got into it, one of the men asked if he could use my camera and asked for some instruction. Having one more camera, I brought it out, and that's Suzie, in the back left, getting some nice photos! They knew of 365 from last year's visit, so I brought out the computer, and Antonio, from Spain, spent the rest of the evening looking through all my pictures!
A neighbour whom I asked to join us for dessert & the rest of the evening commented that it was such a nice relaxed evening for them all where their working life was set aside for awhile. Thanks to their good help, I have a ton of photos to sort through for them all! I'd say they got about an 80% success rate; not bad for low light photography!
Before the evening was over we got some wonderful group photos in different configurations...
...and...
They sang "Ave Maria" at the request of my friend, Janet, and once again, it was just beautiful! We're really going to miss them, but can't wait for their farewell performance November 8.
What an incredible and lovely evening and party you arranged for all.... Awesome and candid shot. Everyone doing their own thing...... even just looking a the photos on your computer.
sounds like a better ratio of successes than the disposable cameras on every table at our wedding! I like the "whole lotta picture-takin goin on" look to this picture.
You're so lucky to have the time to enjoy moments like this! Rob and I have been so busy (plus 4-5hour daily commutes) I don't think I even know what the word 'relaxation' means right now. Yes, time to win the lottery.
@bluespirit My heart goes out to you! Even as I feel I can't even begin to all I'd like to do, our time is ours to call our own. This quiet time together had been preceded with a full day of food preparation, and the last minute note that it was Suzie's birthday! It came together absolutely magically, and I thought of how we'd celebrated Rob's birthday (though we'd never met!) and now Suzie, as we were meeting her for the first time! I think I have the best of all world...a B&B without having to change sheets! I love doing the food preparation!
When you two come up for air again one day, you'll remember where your friends live in Nova Scotia! ♥
@lsanderson55 I've got video, Leigh Anne...I have some additional bits I want to add and then put it on youtube. I'm doing a breakfast for them all Sat AM, so maybe then...
