It had rained all night, and Dinah went out to greet Not-Fred who's always there, waiting for his breakfast. I love sharing my life with the likes of these beautiful neighbourhood cats!
@allie912 What may appear as deadpan involves eyes full of expression, "You speaking to me?", "What took you so long?" I tend to anthropomorphizes them ... (Spell check didn't seem to help with what I was trying to say, but I know you know!)
You know, I look at these two furry creatures, each doing their own thing in their own way, and the little mock-up between them, and my hand immediately reaches for the FAV button!! Beautiful cats, both of them, and I love the little tuxedo suit that Not Fred is wearing!
are they supposed to be flirting with each other? :-) funny, i recognized dinah right away without as much looking at the surroundings yet i recognized her. why is that?
@pamknowler@novab My next-door neighbor is waiting in the wings (to have "her" cats back!) No one seems to actually "own" them, but I've taken care of them this summer and have some neighbourly back-ups who'll take over where I leave off. It's just that they're not home all day to nurture them as we've been able to do. That said, Not-Fred is "stand-off-ish" but no longer "skittish", so he'll do fine.
@flygirl Last year it was "Fred" who moved in with us (though he has a family a couple of doors down! I was sure it was Fred on our back deck when I photographed him the first time, but discovered he has longer fur and indistinguishable coloring-wise except for a black dot on his nose! It's really quite remarkable! I had to compare picture with picture to tell the difference! Therefore, I think you musty have "Fred"!
@Weezilou Take good care of yourself. do n`t run faster than you shadow do.
