When John & Ashley visit with the boys, we often encourage them to have an evening out and we tuck the little guys in for the night. I had just finished reading at least six books (and was falling asleep, myself!). Ashton had rolled over and was asleep so I asked Dylan if he was ready to call it a night.
"Nope!"
I gave him a book to peruse, and seeing this from where I lay, I had to slip away for my camera!
I'm savoring the moment as all-too-soon he, too, will be pulling faces...
The best time of the day reading to them in bed!! I wasn't lucky enough to have my own children but my sister and my closest friend shared their children with me. My greatest pleasure when I got home from work was to pop over to my friends house and put her boys to bed - always reading stories for them!!
This image brings back so many precious memories of bedtime reading with my son! Just as you did, we always fell asleep right along with him as we were reading. :-)
