The day was simply remarkable, but it was coming to a close on this high note where we stopped for dinner. If I tell you that this was "Chocolate-Avocado Mousse" would you hesitate to order it? Let me tell you it was simply decadent, and how about that amazing presentation?!
The restaurant is called Rebecca's (in Mahone Bay) and if you find yourself there, treat yourself to an amazing meal!
Incredibly, we met Rebecca when she was still in her teens and her dad did some superb handy-man work for us soon after we arrived here 15 years ago! Her folks are wonderful people who taught their kids that hard work ethics would pay off handsomely and they have! Because we don't often eat out, we didn't stop in for a meal until recently, but personally we now know it's the best restaurant for miles around!
Before this decadent desert, we shared Cape Breton trout cevichi, and I had lobster and scallop linguini!
(I'll be looking for a good seamstress to let out the seams on my clothing!)
@seattlite Thanks, Gloria! We we're sitting on the back deck overlooking the bay as the sun was going down! Everything on the table was well-photographed before dining...I suppose it was sort of a prayer of appreciation!
Oh this looks wonderful and the meal sounds divine! Perhaps we could pop in there when I am over in October ? It's 6am and this is the first thing I have seen this morning! Mouth watering! Love the presentation too! Fav!
