On this evening, visiting Ashley & family, John was about to conduct the student orchestra for a Christmas concert. The smallest faculty children come in their pajamas, and to the opening music, Santa comes down the aisle and the children help him hand out candy to the audience. (Ashton is less enraptured and is already helping himself to the contents of Santa's sack!) I took photos of the moment and didn't take in any conversation.
John had saved us all the front row seating, so I was turned around and now taking video as Santa came in, leading the children. Dylan was the picture of controlled excitement, disbelieving what he was experiencing! As Santa sat in a chair facing the audience, the children joined their families, and the last thing I caught on the video was Dylan saying, "I saw him!"
Frankly, I was as tickled as Dylan
because guess who had been tapped to be Santa?
What a delightfully adorable moment!
@digitalrn ...all the way down the chapel aisle he followed Santa and handed out candies, but he could hardly contain himself! (Later he'd say, "I forgot to tell him what I wanted!") but the cutest was when he said to Ashley, "I saw him!" As Joan said so perfectly, "He believes!" @joansmor (What a great age...and only a few months older than Scarlet!)
