With Brian's birthday last week, and Ken's, upcoming June 1, I made another cake, this a banana cake with a praline topping and caramel sauce (reminiscent of Banana's Foster).
Ashton did the honors and sliced it, and at evening's end, we packed away only 3 small slices. Before heading home on Sunday afternoon, he asked if he could take the rest... a piece for his dad, a piece for Dylan who slept through the party, and a piece for himself as he really liked it.
You don't think I could possibly have denied such a request?!
The cake sounds delicious so who could blame your grandson for wanting more and at least he wanted to share it. A wonderful shot of people enjoying their time together.
I have dreams about cake... and yours sounds so amazing! I try not to satisfy my cake cravings too often as Bob and I are trying to cut back and lose a few lbs. But oh my goodness... CAKE is so awesome. :)
