We're sitting around the table with computers, working on our photos, and I thought I'd already missed uploading a day. I was sure this was the third day...and so did Pam! We've done so much already!
After a good night's rest, we went sightseeing in town and took a tour of a beautiful, immense Anglican Cathedral. We met a gal in our tour group who told us where they'd seen an iceberg floating by...and so we headed out! The blustery wind is still blowing, making it very difficult to hold the camera steady...here's about the best I could do.
But that's not the worst of it... My computer seems to have crashed! Ken's been working on it, and he turned his computer over to me to use (with PS, but that's all I have to work with...) What bad timing! Can't do anything about it until we're back in NS, so I won't whine...it'll work out somehow.
Got a note tonight from Mike-of-the-Cinnamon-Rolls, and he has a friend who has a cousin here with a boat who would be glad to take us out and closer to an iceberg! (Pam wants to know how big the boat is! She also refuses to row!) These folks live by the sea (and I don't mean just alongside it!) so I'm game! Stay tuned!
@tunia We planned the trip here to coincide with the icebergs floating by! We're sure to see more in the coming days as we drive north tomorrow! People were flocking to see this...quite a wonder!
Wow! Amazing shots, Louise! It must have been quite exciting to see this iceberg in person! I look forward to seeing more of your incredible shots as you drive north. :-)
Not many people can shoot an iceberg from the coast. But we had one down south in NZ once - broke off the Antarctic shelf and there were helicopter rides going out to it!
Oh the cinnamon rolls just keep rewarding you! I see a story in your future titled "The Red and White Splatterware Pan and the Cinnamon Rolls-the Gift That Keeps on Giving"! I love the iceberg, that color, oh my. Sorry about your computer, eeek!
Have deal with ice many times in winter when I was in the merchant navy. The only few times in life I was realy scare was when the ship was between and covered with ice. Ice is not a joke.
