OK, I've thrown in the towel and realize I simply cannot "catch up", so may start from here... So much happens daily, I have the photos & activities, but little spare time!
We were home in California awhile and returned to Lunenburg in early October. We were greeted by two opera students staying at our house while studying with Master Class teachers at the Lunenburg Academy of Musical Performance (LAMP) They are fascinating and hugely talented ladies, already performers and teachers in their own right. As the LAMP program is a revolving door, when the singers left, we housed three members of string quartets. On this beautiful day, we had a noon-dinner barbecue for two of the quartets from Quebec and Masters Class Honor students from Juilliard in NYC, along with a neighbor, an adolescent-children's book author.
(Busy? That evening we attended a concert featuring The Dover String Quartet from the US. The following day (today, Sunday) we attended another afternoon concert and the cast party and dinner that night. For the present, Ken and I are "Dorm Parents" and loving every minute of it! I hope to get back to posting more regularly as our life is full and quite exciting!)
What a lovely surprise to see your smiling face this morning! A great capture of you all! What fun you are having and knowing you and Ken spoiling those lucky enough to be staying with you! Having watched your videos of your guests singing at the dinner table I can understand how exciting it is for you to be involved with LAMP and their students! I know you are getting such pleasure from your busy hectic social life! Keep it up and enjoy - you deserve it after this year! Fav for such a happy capture!
Sounds fantastic! I think it's an excellent plan not to try to catch up - just post when you can. 365 is not a rule, it's always nice to see you when you're here. Enjoy your life at the moment, it sounds absolutely brilliant and inspiring.
I was worried not seeing you pictures for so long and just hoped you were busy. Which it appears you were. You must be the official hostess of Lunenburg as you are always having guests.
I have heard that you are great at entertaining folks in your home (a little bird called Pam told me). This is a lovely happy image and I am sure your students all appreciated staying with you both Fav
Well how wonderful is this?! Lunenburg is quite a cultural destination, who knew?! This is a lovely photo. So glad you and Ken are doing so well. So glad to see your comment this morning, and so good to hear from you. ❤️
@louannwarren I'm chuckling that I must have been neglectful in sharing what a "cultured/cultural town" this is! It is permeated with artists, writers, and musicians, and among those, many are retired professors, and of those in the arts, they continue to hold some small classes or teach some in the two satellite art school here in town! Only recently I marveled that, in every home I visit, all have wonderful original art hanging on their walls. With so many artists and galleries here, the prices are affordable and we're all collectors! of course our walls are full...
is that all you have been doing all this time? slacker! :-P i don't know how you do it, darling, but just reading all these makes me tired and hungry i must go eat now! love yah!
Your "dorm parents" roll sounds like fun. Great shot of everyone. We've wondered why you've been missing on 365. You're just too busy for us, it seems! Anyway, Welcome back! (Where's Ron been lately too?)
No need to apologize. You are living a full and rich life, what everyone aspires to. Just keep doing what you enjoy and pop in when you can, we’re always glad to see you!
@annied People on 365 are all so interesting because we seem to have fully active, varied and interesting lives! Of course it leave us little time to comment on photos, but I'm often just happy to have time to look at some of them! Always delighted to see you here as well, Annie!
