Tacky "Tiki Chic" ...
...so I started with an idea to share how long my hair is growing, with no haircut in the foreseeable future...not a happy thing for those of us with short hair... I see this pushing back into the very late 70s, approaching the "Farrah Flip"...
...Magnum PI and Hawaii 5-0 in much the same era...so I decided to frame up with something tropical...and I definitely needed some retro sunglasses...
It's Friday, so toss in a flamingo for good measure...
4:20, and there goes another good day! Still trying to decide what to have for dinner... Better make it a good one...
(Just reread where I wrote yesterday that today I would create "something/anything"...yep, this fills that low expectation! haha!)
hahah -- yes, even the Flamingo Friday appearance so naturally made. This is so fun I would expect to see a new portrait every month you go without a haircut. Me? I only cut my hair twice a year anyway. And this isn't the month.
I know exactly what you mean about haircuts. I normally have my mop chopped every four weeks or my strong curly hair just keeps growing outwards ever closer to cobweb-broom status. My last haircut was, deliberately, a very, very close cut with clippers. I hope by the time it grows back to what passes for normal some of the restrictions will be lifted.
Oh my goodness this made me laugh out loud! Fabulous is the word that springs to mind! Such a glamorous look - I’m liking the hair so far! I am dreading what mine will look like by the time I can finally go to a hairdressers- I suspect a three inch white hairline! Oh no I will start to look like my mother who was pure white! I suspect that’s what’s under my “natural” brown!🤣🤣🤣

@jyokota Well, Lucky You! I get a hair cut every 3 weeks and color every other time... I got in just before the doors slammed behind me! I can see doing this again in another month, but it gives me a shudder when you say "a new portrait 'every month'... **NOOooooooo!** I only ever let it grow out the first 9 mo I was pregnant...it wasn't all that wonderful even then, and that's when I could get away with a ponytail! (Let's not go there again!)
@Weezilou Well I know that @taffy is also committed to regular hair appointments and she always looks great, too. I just can't be bothered that often, and it used to drive my mother crazy that I wouldn't put more effort into my hair. She always thought my hair needed styling (she was a regular hair cut/perm/color person). At one point she even wanted me to buy a hair piece to "fix" the cowlick/bit of a balding place in the back but why should it bother me?
Looks like you had a lot of fun with this Louise. I can manage 6 weeks between haircuts but it's not a problem here. Our hairdressing salons are still open but they have to abide by strict conditions regarding social distancing and sanitising.
