Still here...Still busy! Since I last posted, I've taken Photoshop courses, that while not catapulting me to new heights, left me inspired to continue trying new ways of seeing things! I still photograph on most days, but I've added a lot more gardening, baking and using my Cricut to design cards on which to write letters. There were a few months when my grandkids had a total of three different spring vacations, and our son-in-law had one as well; we stayed at their home to look after plants and animals, making it a mini vacation for us. After that, we entertained grandkids & family on rotating weeks! All that said, I attended to few of my own interests, but for taking pictures!
From one day to the next, I'm never sure what I want to attend to when I get up in the morning! I may continue to post infrequently...or not infrequently!..but you remain a community of friends with whom I don't want to lose touch!
@boxplayer@annied@casablanca@joansmor@sangwann@photographycrazy@stownsend@louannwarren@365projectorgchristine@pusspup@merrelyn@pdulis@haskar Thank you all for the warm welcome! While I don't see my life as "hectic", I love so many things that I'm currently doing that I spend no time sitting and watching television or "lounging by the pool"! I *do* go to aqua therapy to keep my knees agile (mobile, at least!) and thus far, I'm avoiding knee replacement surgery. Yea! I did feel this had a Japanese essence to it but resisted adding a chop mark. Moving along, I'll put up the original photo and spend some time looking at your posts! Thanks for your time! I love being in your company!
@danette I guess (I know...) this is why "I don't have extra time" to read those historical tomes that I also would find so interesting. I've whittled down my choices, which first, a number of years ago now, included not sitting down to watch television...ever! I love the classes and I always learn something, but most of the teachers (Photoshop Summit courses, of which there have been 5) lend inspiration and pleasure in the watching!
@seattlite thank you; I do! Danette and I keep in touch, so see my note to her, above!
@radiogirl Thank you...as a painter, I love seeing your husband's work when you share it! As a "visiting Canadian" I love peeking into your outdoor life and the time you spend with friends! @seattlite@pyrrhula Thank you for the welcome back to the community; you could say "I slip away on vacation" sometimes, but this feels like home!
This is a great shot and I, also, think it has an oriental feel.
Television? What television? Hard to keep up sometimes with all the interesting and active things there are to do. I often find it hard to post daily just because I am doing other great 'stuff' and I am totally in admiration of people who keep it up for years. I find so much of interest in this community, though, that it inspires me to keep going.
Aqua aerobics three times a week, most weeks, keeps my knees and ankles functioning, although I now have to strap my ankles for extended bushwalking.
Thanks for all your comments.
