When I'd lamented that much of my photography is done within the confines of my back yard (and I wished not to be boring!), Joan assured me that she enjoys seeing the Mallards that come to our pool. There's no dissuading them (though Ken likes to point out my propensity for feeding them...)...OK, they're Pets! I go to the yard and call out, "Com'on!", and soon, if not immediately, the ducks, crows, hummingbird and squirrels are on the scene! "Honest!", even the hummingbird! (They're just curious, and like to check out everything!)
The light was lowering when I took this, and I couldn't make the duck (his head, anyway) stand out more. I can easily predict when they'll dry their wings like this...they do about 4 dunk 'n dips underwater and then rise up to shake off! Their take-off flight is predictable as well...that follows several head bobs!
So expressions cover, "That's Life in the Big City", or "Life Down on the Farm". Here, my tags read, "Life in the 'Peaceable Kingdom'"...it's a joy to watch, where even my cat and the squirrels chase one another in play!
