"The Dream Lady" by Weezilou

"The Dream Lady"

Whenever I'm in Chicago, a visit to the Lincoln Park Zoo with the grandkids is nearly always on the "To-Do" list. Built on the grounds in 1922 is this beautiful sitting area and gorgeous memorial to Poet, Eugene Field. Three of his poems are featured here, including "The Rock-a-Bye Lady", "Wynken, Blynken, And Nod " and "The Sugar-Plum Tree".

Thank you for the comments and thoughts about "The Sugar-Plum Tree" with my photo of Marshmallow, The Raccoon. For those not familiar with the poem or Eugene Field before now, I'm delighted I could make the introduction!

For a further overview of this beloved poet, I include this: http://www.poetryfoundation.org/bio/eugene-field

I dug into my photo files back on September 17 when we visited our daughter & family in Chicago. I thought those of you who commented about the poem in yesterday's photo might find this interesting:
