I'd hoped to be in attendance on this evening to hear the British Columbia Boy's Choir, but in the mix-ups and late arrival of the family, I'd all-but-forgotten about it. We all went out for an early dinner, and John mentioned he'd taken Dylan for a walk up to the church and "there was a group of young people practicing..." (I was so excited to hear that! I'm There! Count me In!)
Ken bowed out to help with the grand kids, so I went alone...just a short walk up from the restaurant and down the street from our house! I LOVE small-town living! I also love that you can hear amazing music all summer...nearly all of it for free. Tonight was the "expensive ticket"... $20 and I sat in the Second Row, Center. (yah...THAT doesn't happen at the Performing Arts Center near us in SoCA!)
During intermission I walked around getting some HDR shots in this lovely church with a pretty amazing history. St John's Anglican in Lunenburg, the 2nd oldest church in all of Canada...for the most part...but that's part of the story, too... (Google, if you're curious)
@golftragic Indeed! And I have...many many times! @tjchapa Thank you for the fav Julie. I was walking around looking for good photo locations and was smitten with this! @mrssmith203 You see I liked it, too! Thanks! @judithdeacon The pipes are gorgeous! Pale blue and rose with gold fleur-de-lis. There's an amazing blend of both old and new history...the hand-painting is exquisite!
Nice! You captured some many cool images in this photo. I particularly like the reflection of the piano keys. Looks like you're having an awesome time in NS!
