356 days into my year long making of a daily still life. Part of the Geranium family Herb Robert grows everywhere and some do not even realise it is a herb and a pretty useful one for healing at that! Symbolic of friendship, happiness and positive emotions the name references Robert of Molesme, a Christian saint and herbalist from the 11th. century.
@casablanca Interesting you should ask because the answer is quite the opposite, the crushed leaves actually smell rather unpleasantly like burnt rubber! When I picked it I had no idea it was a herb as it grows weedlike everywhere and thrives in the most unlikely places, the one is growing from the foundations of a brick wall.
