St Malachy's Catholic Church Rylstone was built in 1875 to replace an earlier, timber church. The church was built by Dean O'Donovan to cater for 19 families who provided their own seating.
What a wonderful looking church, loved the parishioners furnishing their own seats. Here people act like they own the pews they sit in week after week at church. It’s a standing joke “don’t sit there, that’s so and so’s pew”. Ha!

@louannwarren @annied At the village in Yorkshire where my Nanna used to live as a little girl, people used to pay the church each week to 'hire' the pews. Nanna used to say the seats were bought by people who thought themselves as important and ordinary parishioners didn't dare sit there. Not a very Christian attitude is it.

We are get-pushed partners again this week. In keeping with you architecture theme, your challenge is to do a dutch angle of architecture.
