Macro 16 - Minibeasts

For December my theme is macro - yes yes I haven't completed November's Flora yet but I will try and get both sorted hahaha.
This week I am posting Minibeasts.
Just a fly but up close they're interesting and colourful.
Flies belong to a group of insects called Diptera; insects with two functioning wings.

When looking close - I love the detail in this little fella ! Such stunning and glistening iridescent coat to the body with the few harsh black hairs and those wonderful copper coloured eyes ! Looks as if he is out in his best Sunday Suit ! fav

How did you manage to get this, you must have glued it to the leaf. I never get a photo of a fly as they never cooperate for me.
