Drop Me a Leaf by artsygang

Drop Me a Leaf

After much encouragement I decided to give it a go in watercolor. I felt it might not work as well but am actually pleased with the results.

@grammyn
wow! i am, too! girlfriend, those drops look real, almost semi-frozen drops almost like they're going to slide off the page. and the perspective of the leaf is great; you made it your own painting. big ACES to you! @grammyn

@30pics4jackiesdiamond You are entirely too generous! Thank you

Wow!!!! You are terrific. And the painting as well. I thought of using watercolor, but i gave up. How did you add white in the drops? Adding white is tricky in watercolor. And that is the reason i did this in acrylics.
It is so well done! The leaf looks so organic and the droplets so realistic. Truly well done.
I hope you enjoyed doing this.

Great droplets. I found doing this in watercolour not very forgiving but your is so realistic.

Very well done! You worked with a difficult medium to do this.

@monikozi you really are very generous with your praise and your enthusiasm! I thought yours was amazing as well. And I think you did a better job than I did but I did enjoy doing this. Thank you so much for that support.
@wakelys I felt the same way Susan. I think it would’ve been easier using a medium that had some substance to it but I was able to make it work which surprised me. Thank you so much.
@jacqbb How very nice of you to say! It wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was going to be but I agree it might have been easier using a different medium.
