i knew why i kept putting off painting this thing. it looks easy but it ain't. then i struggled finding the masking tape after i've painted the green. i almost put a hole in a couple of places. the third one i couldn't repair so i just made it as a really tiny droplet.
i don't like the way the droplets ended in a straight line, crosswise and lengthwise. but i like that ladybug, don't you?
Yes, the droplets do end abruptly. A bit like the elephant. You know why the elephant has that tiny little tail, don't you? So that it doesn't end so abruptly.
But you nailed the droplets bodies. As for the ladybug... that's so Vikki (a cat and a window, a dropped flower). You made it yours. I'm so amazed at your creativity.
As for some shadows to the droplets, that can be done any time in acrylics. You can even add just a line, a bit thicker, as you did for the ladybug.
Oh, well done! I do like the little lady bug and clever of you to make one more drop out of the mistake. I never would’ve noticed the line of drops if you have not mentioned it. As always this is terrific. You have some mad skills
Dear me!!! Now i get you, after reading @grammyn Katy's comment.
I thought you meant the droplets had a sharp edge... now that i read Katy's comment and looked back at the painting, i see the line of droplets.
I didn’t use the masking tape but just used a bit of undiluted white on my canvas.

Great outcome!
