I went with a faffed, arty, and less focused shot, instead of a clearer one. He had a bad wet head feather day too! Look for his one red neck feather, the beginning of his gorgeous iridescent red gorget. He and another young male(without a red neck feather yet) were caught in the fabulous fifteen minute torrential rain shower we had this afternoon. It has not rained in absolutely forever, so it was a celebration. These to young guys usually spend most of their day attacking and buzzing each other trying to keep each other from the feeders. We need helmets on the patio!
