We kayaked today with a friend on Maquan Pond at Camp Kiwanee. The weather was absolutely perfect, sunshine, a cool breeze and clear water beneath us. This Great Blue Heron was intently watching the water from his branch, but posed perfectly in the scene that looked like a painting to me.
