Schuster Center for the Performing Arts Upper Lobbies
On June 24th, we went to see "The Fiddler on the Roof" at the Schuster Center for the Performing Arts. We got there extra early because we wanted to attend the pre-show Background on Broadway lecture about the play. While waiting to go upstairs to the upper balcony lobby, I grabbed some shots of the interior. This is the east end of the city block-long lobby, looking up at the mezzanines for the Loge and the Upper and Lower Balconies. The green metal structures support an immense glass wall that fronts on West Second Street. Behind me the rest of the lobby where the Will Call/Ticket Office, and a newly installed Starbucks reside. This easternmost quarter of the lobby has live palm trees that reach up nearly to the bottom of the upper mezzanine, and they are only about half as tall as the ceiling is high.
