So here we are in the little town of Beaumont. The first French Canadian families arrived in this area in 1892. In 1894 a 10 acre plot of land was purchased for $50 to build a church on. Mass was held at the first church on this site on June 30, 1895.
On Feb. 11, 1918 fire destroyed that building. Not to be discouraged the congregation set about building a new church. Mass was held in this current church on July 4, 1920
Pretty and elegant building. You've captured it well, I think. I always find churches quite a challenge; you sort of want to get it all into the picture, but that can be quite hard.
