Well Melody's brother and his wife are in Edmonton this week. We were all together at her parents along with her nephew and his new wife.
We decided to pull the collection of old family slides out. What better way to introduce the newest member of the family to everyone.
Melody took this shot of a huge pile of slides that we really need to organize better. That is a project for another time
I love this shot, brian! We have thousands of slides, too. I'm thinking that getting them digitized and organized would be the perfect post retirement job for me! I can hardly wait to get my hands on them! I'm sure we have lots of photos of my son when he was a baby :-)
I was saying to dad only the other day we should have a slide show the next time I'm home! But I insist that there's a tub of mint choc chip ice cream, the two always seemed to go together in our house! Great shot, it's amazing to think the next generation might not even know what to do with slides! - Lucy
Oh good grief, Brian. Do you have to remind me. This is a GREAT shot, but it's all too familiar. We have hundreds and hundreds of these. My Dad took slides from early 40s to into the 70s, I took them from late 50s to 83. And they ALL need to be sorted, categorized, tossed or digitized..... and I don't want to do it..... Too busy with 365, etc. Love the "old" feel of this shot, however. Does anyone take slides on a daily basis now? At least photo hobbyists?
Cool shot. It sounds like you had a nice time with visiting family. It must have been fun looking at all the slides. I love looking at old photographs.
I used to shoot lots of slides too. Many memories in them. Have been thinking of scanning the best of my two full suitcases of slides. Lots of memories of the kids and family and places we traveled to etc. Big job ahead for us both!!
There were lots of slides among my father's things too. I would love to scan them all into a digital format. But like you, it is a project for another time! Good shot Melody!
have fun together.
