School of the Arts

I love the fact that there are still schools around that appreciate the arts. This happens to be one of them.
This is the Afton Elementary School of the Arts located in the west end of the city. I just love the huge mural on the wall

Looks like my kind of elementary school! Interestingly there was a study done once that showed schools where students participate in the arts are also students who do well in the sciences and math. Nice shot!

I totally agree about schools which appreciate and emphasize the arts. My two nieces go to a high school like that here in Ontario. I like your composition here and the way the shape of your capture emphasizes the horizontality of the building. The mural looks great--any chance you might be able to photograph it closer up?
