A few years back the City of Edmonton started a program known as the Giants of Edmonton. This is a program that allows a business to call up the city and put in a request to have a large mural painted on the side of their building. The city then contracts out an artist to paint it.
Yesterday on our way home we went to take a look at the newest one. It is located in a community called Beverly. This community started out as a small town of its own in 1914 and in the 1960's amalgamated with the City of Edmonton. Seeing that they are celebrating their centennial year they thought it would be nice to have a new mural painted. They actually have a number of them in the community so this one just adds to those.
I decided to post this shot of the whole thing ad over the next few days will post some close ups of sections of it. I trust you will enjoy this. Have a great week everyone
Love your panoramic view of this, Brian. It looks like a very interesting mural and I;m looking forward to the closeups of different parts of it. You and Melody have a great week too!
