This sculpture is entitled Return and was commissioned in 2001 by the Edmonton Community Foundation. It is an organization which is devoted to enhancing the quality of life in the community.
The three columns represent Donors, The Foundation and Beneficiaries. Each column is supported by the other two and using the idea of harmonious co-operation means that the columns could go on forever. It is located right downtown. Have a great week everyone
Great shot of a unique sculpture. I like seeing the rest of your photo too - the sunshine-filled street along with its shadows. Thanks for explaining the statue's significance.
Nice shot. The sculpture is very interesting and I like the symbolism they chose for it. It sort of reminds me of plugs and wires but I don't think that detracts from it!
