So since Friday is Halloween I thought I would share a few of the Ghost Stories that have been told over the years relating to different buildings here in Edmonton.
The McKay Avenue School was built in 1904. It was Edmonton's first brick school house. Today it is home to the Edmonton Public School Museum and Archives.
The story goes that Peter who was a labourer who fell of the building during its construction and now roams the school house.
Staff have reported such occurances as chairs being knocked over, pictures being removed from walls, drawers opening and closing and doors locking and unlocking. I guess this is one ghost who believes in clowning around
I would feel a bit scared if I worked there! although the ghost seems to be quite mischievous! I liked reading the story and the photo of the building is great.
I don't believe in ghosts, but would be scared, too, if strange things like this happened while I was around along. The shot and the architecture are beautiful.
Sad story for a building that was meant to be used for good purposes. This shot does a nice job in presenting its impressive archway over the main door.
