Welcome To The Neighbourhood ......Fond Memories

So yesterday I was walking to my Mom's place and the route I take has me pass by this school. Located in the Glengarry neighbourhood this is Glengarry Elementary School. I attended this school for grades 1-6 way back from 1967-1973. Interestingly enough the school itself has not changed very much in all those years

Many memories there for you. The first two schools I attended in 1949-1951 no longer exist. The Catholic grade school I went to is closed now as well and so is the building where I went to High School.

It must have seen cutting-edge modern at the time you were there. My elementary school also went through 6th grade, yet today they cut it off at 5th grade.

My elementary school is still in use today as well. I went there along with most of my cousins on my father's side of the family. In fact, many of their children also attended that school! Yours looks like it has served the children of Edmonton very well all these years.

Very modern looking for dating back that far. it makes me wonder if my Public School still exists. it was an older building already at the time and would date back to way before the 1940 when I attended.
