The Lookout

Today's pic is of the apartment building that was in the background of yesterday's picture.
This is the El Mirador, which in Spanish means the lookout, it was built in 1935.
The owner bought a two story wood frame house and decided to build around it. The exterior of the house can still be seen on the north wall of the building.
In 1954 he built an annex on to the south side of the building. In the back is a beautiful courtyard between the two buildings. This building is on the Historic Registies list due to the Spanish style in the architecture
