Then and Now Fort Edmonton by bkbinthecity

Then and Now Fort Edmonton

So l have started doing some research for a book that l am hoping to put together on Edmonton's history.
I thought l would post some of the info l would include.
I am starting with Edmonton's beginnings as a fur trading post for the Hudson Bay Company.
The final location of the fort was on the present day Legislative grounds.
The top is the fort with the Legislative Building in the background
The middle picture was in 1915 when the fort was dismantled and the bottom picture is what the area looks like today.
I hope you will join me this week as l take a look at Edmonton Then and Now
Very interesting comparison.

An interesting topic with much material to choose from...I imagine. BTW I wonder if you intended the title of this shot to be 'Then and Now Edmonton'. I ask as you've put 'THEM and Now...etc.'
