Then and Now Life is better in Denim

This building began its history with Edmonton in 1911 as the Calledonia Dept. Store.
In 1914 it became home to the Great West Garment Co. They operated here until 1953.
Next it was operated by the Army & Navy Department Store. I remember many shopping trips here as a family a tradition which my wife and l continued until the store moved to a mall in North Edmonton
It has been vacant now for a few years but last year my cousin held his wedding here.
A great colour change ;-)
