Inside the Library

The other day l posted a picture of a couple of buildings one of which was the Strathcona Library. Bep @gijsje said she would like to see the inside. Here is a portion of the library that highlights some of the architecture design of the interior
All the books are on shelves off to each side

Thanks for sharing. Great architecture. I have been a librarian almost all my life, have seen many changes: computers in stead of catalogues et cetera. I miss the books on your photo...

A wonderful architecture, well photographed! Strange somehow to see a modern library...I'm an oldie, I associate a library with thousands of books made of paper. Times were changing ;) But I guess this is only a part of the building, and they still have real books and not only e-books. Anyway, a wonderful photo. Fav!

I like it when libraries offer many options to their patrons and it looks like yours has that. Our library here is similar- it even has a coffee shop! Good shot.
