Yesterday Arthur Clark @arthurclark posted a picture of a television program about railroads. It was highlighting Edmonton and our High Level Bridge Streetcar.
As l mentioned to Arthur l have ridden on the streetcar many times. So l thought l would put together a collage of pictures from it.
The Streetcar is operated by the Edmonton Radial Railroad Co. It runs from Mid May to Mid Oct. On the weekends and they have three different streetcars in their collection.
1. A 1947 streetcar from Melbourne
2. Melody's Mom ringing the bell to indicate
the ride is about to start
3. The view on top of the bridge
4. The view from the bridge
5. The perspective of the Streetcar operator
I trust you enjoyed these Arthur and Thanks for the inspiration
This is wonderful! I so enjoy your project and the glimpse of Edmonton that you provide for all of us. I've not been to your city, but I feel like I know it a bit from your pictures! :)
the program I was watching was about the Canadian railway and how it united and opened the country to make it what it is today. It was most interesting, and the scenery was outstanding.
Great collage! We have a similar trolley ride near us in Scanton (the photo club went there last fall) so several of these look very similar to ours. Nicely done!
