A Piece Of History

Edmonton has a river valley that runs through the city from west to east.
Over the years there has been a lot of different industries that have set up in the valley.
Coal mines were just one of those industries.
Here is a historical marker that stand on what was once the site of one of those mines
Today the area is a wonderful residential neighborhood.
I didn't know that your area had coal mines.

An interesting piece of history. I find it quite fascinating to see how old industrial areas can be transformed for the needs of today.
