Sorry for all the goofy pictures tonight but it was getting late and had no other pictures so here's another one using my new star filter! Just a shot of traffic as we were driving down San Marnan Drive tonight! Hey, at least it's not another cat picture! :)
The star filter is so much fun. Is it a filter that covers your lens with a small star cut-out in it? I made one out of black paper with a heart in it for my first try at shaped lights. It was a lot of fun.
@eileenmabalot@pfmandeville@lynnmwatson Thanks guys, I always appreciate your comments! Eileen & Pamela, they're so much fun and cheap too....picked up a couple at Best Buy for all my different lens sizes. Cheapest was $6.99 but one size was from a different manufacturer and was way more for some reason ($29.99). Oh well I love this effect and will try not to overuse it! :)
@petersonsheri Sheri, no cut-out on these...it's a regular screw-on filter, like a polarizer. I got them at Best Buy....they're available in different sizes and price range! I wasn't even looking for these and there they were....didn't have to think twice, just grabbed them! :)
@bluemoon I am SO going shopping. When I did my heart bokeh, It took me quite a few tries to get a decent heart cut out in the middle of a piece of black paper! Having something to screw on to the end of the lens would be amazing, and I LOVE the effect that you were able to get on the lights. It's spectacular.
