Easby Abbey

These extensive and impressive ruins are on the outskirts of Richmond, North Yorkshire. The abbey is also known as the Abbey of St. Agatha, and was founded in 1152. We visited here on the way up to Durham at the weekend. Now maintained by English Heritage and a good place to stop off if you're travelling North. No tea shop though!

We did a lovely walk along the river from Richmond to Easby Abbey. A lovely day and we had our picnic with us. Fav!
