Fixing the bank

18 months ago the river in St Neots was very high and the weight of water took out part of the wall at the edge of these gardens overlooking the river. At last 'some' of the insurance companies have agreed to cover the cost of this huge task. Sadly not all have agreed.
Wow a big job Judith....insurance companies vary so much....do the ones whose naughty insurance companies have to pay them selves I wonder! I think much of the problems with flooding is down to lack of river management! No dredging done along our stretch at all these days...bunged up with sludge & weed,

@happypat Only one who refused to pay but that family have gone to the ombudsman. Its still ongoing.....

Looks like quite a task. Must be a bit scary for the people living in the houses on the riverbank.

It looks as though they are doing a good job to reinforce it. What a shame to have in crumble so near the buildings. Nice capture.

Interesting capture I noticed the house at the end is for sale I wonder if they ever will.The insurance must be horrendous

@wendyfrost I'm not sure Wendy, I hadn't noticed that but you're right, I think they will struggle to sell it!
