Whitby Abbey

A dull day today and a visit to Whitby Abbey. 199 steps to the top but they were not too steep so we easily managed the climb. The views over the town and harbour on the way up were well worth the climb to the top. I loved the variation in colour and the erosion in the stonework.
We met one of Peter's school friends and his wife today and enjoyed a fish & chips lunch at the famous Magpie restaurant

Whitby is one of my favourite places. We've been a few times but yet to try the Magpie - there always seems to be a long queue when we're there.
