We decided to bite the bullet and take a helicopter ride over two glaciers on the west coast of NZ. Franz Josef and Fox glacier which are on Mount Cook and Mount Tasman. It was awesome, although I was terrified at first. We've been so lucky with the weather as you can see. We did a snow landing and walked about in the deep snow for 10 minutes. I believe the snow is thirty metres deep. The glaciers are receding year on year.
