Visitor centre at Afsluitdijk

After the train ride and the boat trip today we drove to the road running along the dyke which was built to cut off the Zuiderzee from the North Sea. This was to protect the land from devastating floods. This is somewhere Peter has been wanting to visit for many years. The centre is a very modern, interactive site which tells this incredible story of the manipulation of the Dutch coast.
Very modern, and a lovely view
