As today is Armistice Day, the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11the month, when the guns of WW1 fell silent, I thought I would use a picture of two pictures that shows two soldiers who lived to tell the tale. On the left is my Grandfather, taken in Belgium during the 1st world war & the second is my Uncle ( his son), taken during the 2nd world war. Many were not so lucky.
How wonderful to have these shots. Many of my family have been military, my son now an RAF Cadet. Remembrance weekend is always poignant and special in our house.
