This statue/ sculpture is made of slate. It is only in recent years that this man has received true recognition for his incredible work during WW2. Persecuted for being homosexual, lost his GCHQ vetting & security clearances & driven to suicide because he couldn’t live with the chemical castration that was forced upon him!
