Duck by carole_sandford

Duck

I’ve been at work for 12 hours today & My whole day has revolved around drugs, either administering them or ordering them!
So, another one from Hartsholme. This duck was on the lake side of the railings & so wasn’t the easiest to capture without getting the railings in shot. Several people commented on my lens in Phil’s photo today. It is a 100-400 mm, it captures super clear details, as with this duck.
Fantastic detail. Fav!

Lovely specimen. Do you need to use the lens with a tripod?
January 8th, 2022
@boxplayer Hi, no I’ve used it more often without, but it does offer more stability. It is quite a heavy lens ( though lighter than some) . I use it hand held to take pictures of the Red Arrows practicing. I got a new tripod for my birthday & one of the legs detaches to become a monopole, which is less cumbersome to walk around with. Useful for nighttime or low light & slow speed shots too. This instance was its first outing.
