First let me thank you for allowing me to see my butterfly picture on the popular page. I am honored.
Today would have been my parent's 65th wedding anniversary. I live in the house that they bought 61 years ago - the year that I was born. We came back here 11 years ago after my father died to care for my mother who had previously had a massive stroke. I began planting roses in the yard for her as she loved to look at them and the perfume is extraordinary. They should not be in bloom in April in Cincinnati but this Spring has been so unusual all around the country. So my roses are celebrating my parent's wedding anniversary. One of them had to be the shot for today.
Gorgeous! I can smell them now~! I love the yellow and pink blend of colors. My great-grandmother Granny passed away 36 years ago and her favorite roses were yellow. She had a huge wild yellow rose growing at her front door. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
Congratulations on the PP, Cathy! That's great after 48 pics! I had well over 100 before I got there. =) A beautiful capture of this lovely rose! Sweet colors and details in the petals. Well done!
