I am getting ready to leave and meet my heavily pregnant granddaughter for lunch. We are going to take the same steps that we did two years ago before I got to see my great grandson, Aiden, enter the world. We are going to do a little baby shopping, have lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory and drink some specially brewed raspberry tea that is supposed to facilitate labor. When we did this same routine the last time I got a call that night around 10pm and Aiden entered the world peacefully with the help of a midwife about 6 hours later! He is a huge joy in GiGi's life. And I know that Mason will soon be the same.
So tradition dictates that I spend the day this way today and hope that Mason comes into the world, peacefully and soon.
This caught my eye out front. Ash does not exactly want photos right now, although she is gorgeous, so I found something else that is bursting with life to be. I can't remember the name of it but it fascinates me with the filament.
Gorgeous photo. Love reading your thoughts, Cathy. Seeing new life enter this world is such a great joy. I hope all goes well and Mason is here soon--happy and healthy. ENJOY!!!
This photo is outstanding. It is so sharp. I hope that you had a lovely day with your granddaughter and that you new grandson makes a healthy entrance into the world very soon. What an exciting day for your family.
@yonnie Thanks Yvonne. I can't wait and Ash is more than ready to get this part over with. @doorknee71 Thanks Dawn. @jenniferruge Thank you Jennifer. I am ready. Hope to be showing you baby pictures soon. @carolmw Thanks Carol. @marlboromaam Thanks Maggie. I loved how it seems like filaments. @grannysue Thank you Linda. @sugarmuser Thanks Sharon. Will be glad when the delivery is behind us.
Great photo. Do you think it's the tea that helps bring on the labor or the cheesecake? After a pie from the CF, there's rarely room for anything else!
beautiful shot! I love how you put it together with your narrative about your grand daughter....such sweet thoughts and so awesome and amazing that you two are able to spend such special times together. What memories and binding and bonding that is for your family!
@wannabe Thanks Catherine. Still waiting. @cindymc Thanks Cindy. @buttercup Thanks Mary. And he will be my Great Grandson! @janets I think she was just ready to pop. Apparently the tea did not do it's job this time.... @girlie Thanks Robin. It was the next best thing to photographing the Mom to be. @vickisfotos She is such a sweetie. Did not enter my life until she was 15 do amazing that we have been able to find our common ground and laugh together. At 15 it was all about her but she has grown into a wonderful young woman. Currently working on her Master's degree in children's dietician. She used to visit my Mom in the nursing home between her classes. @vickisfotos Thank you Vicki! A fav. I am honored. @sabine Thanks Sabine. I can't wait to try some baby shots I have been saving up ideas.
Best of luck to your granddaughter! What a great tradition. I have never seen a plant like this. It looks like it has wool on it. Excellent focus, composition, and detail! Lovely shot!
