After church this morning a great older gentleman and his brother allowed the kids to crack rocks looking for geodes. The had the coolest setup with a big chain thing attached to a lever (I know I am not explaining this well) and the kids got to pull on the lever and crack the rock to reveal, hopefully, a geode. A lot of them were duds but we got to see some really cool ones. The old guys had been doing this since they were kids and wanted to share their love with a new generation. I even cracked one.
Then another trip to the Butterfly Show today, this time with Andy, his girlfriend Gina, Noah and Owen. Those two little boys had a great time - who wouldn't with these magical creatures flying all over the place. Noah was a natural Butterfly Whisperer. We honestly lost count of how many were all over him. One literally stayed with us for about 20 minutes. This young man vibrates to a different beat than most of us - and it must be one that the butterflies are attracted to. I had so many pictures of him to chose from for today but I thought this was priceless.
