Yes, it really is that color. This is one of my favorites and it is hanging in really well with cold weather nipping at us at night.
I won't be around much later. I am having a screening colonoscopy tomorrow. So I'll be busy. This is my soapbox so I'm going to use it. If you are 50 or above please get one. I promise you that I totally sleep through it. Today, I have a good book and, as the literature says, I will be close to the facilities. Tom's Dad might still be here today if he would have had this simple test. If you want to talk about it let me know. Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when taken care of before it ever has a chance to reach that stage. So, please schedule your test if you haven't had one!
Very nice composition on the rose. A school friend has been dealing with colon cancer for a few years and is amazed at how much publicity breast cancer awareness gets and how little colon cancer gets. Get the word out!
that's a pretty flower and the colour is gorgeous. i keep forgetting to do mine. my doctor gave me a kit that i can do anytime and would you believe it, i can even mail the thing to the lab if i so wishes. ah, technology. take it easy then today and hope the test comes out okay, cathy.
A lovely composition. As for the colonoscopy, the appointment itself is a breeze. Not too fond of the prep, however. But as you say, the more we encourage people to have it done, the better we will all be.
Not something that is done here except privately but Harry & I have had these kits through the post as @summerfield says so hopefully all is well!! Love your rose & good luck for tomorrow!
@cdonohoue .My husband,John,had bowel cancer two years ago,so,yes checks are a great necessity.Luckily,John's was caught in time,so after an op and chemo,he is fine now,just having annual check ups.
@anazad511 I agree! I'm glad it is over as I type this. @paintdipper Thanks Junan! @vickisfotos Happy Birthday Treat. But you do what you have to do. @carolmw Ahhh, glad they caught it in time - which is why I had mine done.
What a beautiful shot of this rose, Cathy. I had a colonoscopy at the age of 50. It is painless and I was awake during the entire procedure. I felt nothing but pressure and got to view it on the screen that my Dr was viewing. I started getting really groggy after it was over and they had to wheelchair me to the car. It is so important to have this screening.

All the best for tomorrow.
Always get my colonoscopy. I hate to complain about the prep, but I hate it; yet I still do it because I know it is important. Good luck tomorrow.
@paintdipper Thanks Junan!
