The Big Sucker! by cdonohoue

The Big Sucker!

This is happening on the block behind me. I really wanted to see if I could use the 50-500 handheld - no monopod. I think I did pretty good. You can even zoom in and see the tools on their belts.

This is good news for us. This house had been empty for a while. Part of the recession. Somebody finally bought it and is obviously putting money in it. It really needed a roof which has been done and now you can see work on the chimney. I think they got it for a song - but it is going to be an opera to get it back in shape. Helps my property values!

I had to go to a Memorial service this afternoon so this is about all the shooting that is happeneing.

Sounds like you are having fun with that 50-500! Does it have image stabilization?

I rented a 50-500 for a weekend in Yellowstone and it was HEAVEN!! I loved it! Except it made my hands and wrists sooo tired!
Wonderful that someone bought the house. You'll have fun watching the renovation!

Yikes --- rather them than me

@vskolnik It does to an extent but not like the smaller lenses. I got (they gave it to me but you know that nothing is really free) a monopod that will be really helpful with this.

Nice that the house is receiving the love. It never ceases to amaze me how confident the men who work on roofs are.
